Alex, what are you about?
I am lucky enough to have 2 happy and healthy daughters who are growing up fast and make me and my wife incredibly proud.
In business I enjoy building and leading teams and helping them to learn and grow – especially in high-pressure and dynamic situations. Besides that I like some gym time, long walks with my dogs and spending time with friends.
Why do you go to work?
I am proud of a 20 year career in consulting and then with The FA. I now enjoying a little more freedom and flexibility learn new skills and to work with products and people I like. I’ve been keen to build something from the ground up and love the challenges of nurturing
a start-up!
How would you describe what NotLost does to someone who has never heard of it, in a nutshell?
We use simple technology to help venue staff manage lost property and enquiries from customers. Saving time, minimising hassle for staff and delighting their customers. It’s a global, analogue problem that we believe is ripe for disruption.
What’s been the best customer service experience you’ve had in the last 5 years?
We went to Disneyland in Florida and the whole thing was amazing, but the staff really brought it to life for us.
What’s an attraction/event you would recommend visiting on a weekend off?
As a family man, I love taking my kids to the zoo. Whipsnade is near us so we’ll happily spend a few hours there. I also love attending live sport events and the raw atmosphere you get from the supporters. I have been lucky enough to attend many amazing events around the world but I still have a soft-spot for Wembley Stadium!
